Going Live

The following instructions will allow you to make your new website live. If you have any difficulties or need our assistance, please get in touch via our support page.

Are You Migrating Your E-mail Accounts?

Would you like to keep your existing e-mail hosting configuration (such as Microsoft 365 / Gmail)? Or will you migrating your email accounts to our servers? 

  • IF KEEPING EXISTING: Go to Dashboard > Settings > Domains > Launch the Go Live Wizard to import your existing configuration. (Note if your website is already live this option won't be available.)
  • IF MIGRATING: You will need to create your e-mail accounts via: Dashboard > Settings > E-mail Accounts prior to going live.

Does your Existing E-mail or Network Provider Require Them To Host Your DNS?


IF NO:

Do you have any other services which run off subdomains of your domain such as: intranet.domain.com, ftp.domain.com, fileserver.domain.com? If so,  contact us with details of these so we can add the DNS records.

After configuring your e-mail accounts, login to your domain registrar (the company that you registered your domain with), remove existing name servers and set the following name servers on the domain.

  • ns1.synergy8.com
  • ns2.synergy8.com
  • ns3.synergy8.com
  • ns4.synergy8.com


After doing this, it will take between 2 and 24 hours for the site to go live.

IF YES:

The less preferred option is to ask your existing e-mail or network provider to set the following DNS settings:

  • A record for your domain.com to: 119.148.70.243
  • A record for www.domain.com to: 119.148.70.243

Do you have any additional domains?

For any additional domain names, park them in “Settings -> Domains” and repeat the steps you took above.
