Creating Your First Manual Sale
To get started, log in to the website dashboard and select the sales option, which appears under the commerce heading in the left sidebar.
Click the "New Sale" button on the top of the page to configure a new sale. On the sale configuration page you will have the following options:
Creating a new Contact
If the customer is an existing contact, search for that contact using the search box. The contact data will be populated automatically, check the contacts details and continue to the "Entering Products" section.
If the customer is not an existing contact:
- Enter the customers e-mail address;
- Select the contact type: Individual or Company;
- Enter the customers name or company name and business number;
- Enter the address information for the contact.
If you choose to save the contact click the "Save Contact" button on the left, it's not mandatory to save the contact.
You can either link the sale to existing products in your catalog, or enter a custom product. The product field can be used to search for an existing product by name, or you can simply type a custom product name in this field.
After adding the product details, click the "Add item" button to add the product to the sale.
Select a Delivery Method
Select a delivery method. Delivery methods can be configured through the Commerce > Configuration > Shipping Methods page.
Depending on the methods offered by your business the process will change, fill out the information required for the specified delivery service.
Select a Payment Method
Selecting a payment method. Payment methods can be configured through the Commerce > Configuration > Payment Methods page.
Depending on the methods offered by your business the process will change, fill out the information required for the specified payment service.
Select the "Confirm Order" button to create the sale.
