Creating and Configuring Inventory Items
Inventory is useful for managing and monitoring your stock levels. If you don't need to monitor inventory levels, there is no need to use the inventory functionality of Synergy 8.
Creating a New Inventory Item
To get started, log in to the website dashboard and select the Products option, under the Commerce heading in the left sidebar.
Select the Inventory button on the top of the page to view all inventory items on the website.
Click the "New Inventory Item" button located towards the top of the page to configure a new inventory item.
Clicking the "Save Inventory Item" button will create the new inventory item.
Linking a Inventory Item to a Product
Now that you have your first inventory item, you're ready to start tracking your product stock by linking the inventory to the product.
From the inventory page, select the "Products" button on the top of the page to view all products on the website.
Click the "Edit Product" button located towards the top of the page to see the product properties.
Select the "Inventory" tab at the top of the page to configure a new inventory item.
Use the search at the top of the settings and type the inventory code you specified during creation.
When the code appears, select it and the information will be filled out automaticaly. Alternatively you can create a new inventory item.
Select "Save Product" button will link the Inventory Item and product.
